The high-density suburb of Mufakose in Harare is known for its rich sporting talent across various disciplines. Football and tennis have produced notable international athletes from this neighbourhood, but in cricket, there is only one standout: Victor Nyauchi, popularly known as Vicky Jojo. He is the sole cricketer from Mufakose to have played internationally for Zimbabwe, and he also happens to be my friend.

I recently caught up with Jojo at Trent Bridge following the conclusion of the one-off Test match between England and Zimbabwe to discuss his cricket journey.
